UK Government Incentive Schemes
We're incentivized by the Government of United Kingdom to convert organic waste into green energy
The Green Gas Support Scheme (GGSS
The Green Gas Support Scheme (GGSS) provides financial incentives to support the production of biomethane, a renewable gas, through anaerobic digestion. The scheme is designed to help the UK reduce its carbon footprint by promoting the use of green gas. It operates by offering tariff payments to eligible biomethane producers, encouraging the injection of this renewable gas into the national grid.
Key Benefits:
- Supports the production of renewable biomethane.
- Contributes to the UK’s carbon reduction targets.
- Provides long-term financial incentives to producers.
Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)
The Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) is a government-backed initiative that ensures small-scale low-carbon electricity generators are paid for the renewable energy they export to the grid. This scheme is particularly beneficial for individuals and organizations that produce renewable energy through technologies like solar panels or anaerobic digestion. SEG guarantees payments from energy suppliers for each unit of electricity exported to the grid.
Key Benefits:
- Ensures payment for renewable energy exported to the grid.
- Encourages small-scale renewable energy generation.
- Supports the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO)
The Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) scheme certifies the renewable origin of electricity generated in the UK. Each unit of electricity produced from renewable sources is issued with a REGO certificate, which provides transparency to consumers and businesses regarding the proportion of energy that comes from renewable sources. This helps promote the use of green energy and supports the renewable energy market.
Key Benefits:
- Certifies the renewable origin of electricity.
- Promotes transparency and consumer confidence in green energy.
- Supports the growth of the renewable energy sector.
Our Expertise
With over 30 years of experience in the sustainability industry, CCO2 merges blockchain technology with environmental stewardship to drive a greener, more transparent future.
Anaerobic Digestion
Our anaerobic digestion plants convert agricultural and food waste into biogas and organic fertilizers, generating renewable energy such as electricity and gas. This process reduces landfill waste and supports sustainable agriculture by producing high-quality organic fertilizers. The biogas produced is a clean, renewable energy source for heating, electricity, and vehicle fuel, further reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
Carbon Capture & Utilization
CCO2 uses advanced carbon capture technology to prevent CO2 emissions from entering the atmosphere. Captured CO2 is refined into 99.99% pure liquid CO2 for industrial applications, such as food and beverage production, refrigeration, and chemical feedstock. This innovative approach reduces emissions and turns a waste product into a valuable resource, contributing to a circular economy.
Generating Carbon Credits
We are the world’s first to produce carbon credits using carbon capture technology on anaerobic digestion. Our carbon credits adhere to the highest global regulatory standards, ensuring their value and consistent supply. These credits help companies offset their carbon footprints and meet sustainability goals, promoting global carbon reduction. By integrating this innovative approach, we are setting new benchmarks in the sustainability sector.
Blockchain & Web3
CCO2 leverages blockchain and Web3 technologies to enhance transparency and efficiency in our operations. We create project-based tokens that serve as the exclusive currency for purchasing carbon credits, liquid CO2, and other sustainable products. This approach democratizes access to our ecosystem, ensuring a robust and transparent financial framework that aligns with our mission for sustainability.
